Woodstock, Pomfret, Barnard, Reading, West Windsor, Hartland, Hartford, Windsor, Weathersfield

This past weekend, we toured around Woodstock and Windsor.

On Saturday, we started our ride at Billings Farm in Woodstock.  We cycled up Route 12 through Pomfret to Barnard and then descended on the Stage Road through South Pomfret and back to Woodstock.  We then cycled a southerly loop through Reading, West Windsor, Hartland and Hartford, ending back in Woodstock.  We were pleasantly surprised to discover that our route intersected the Vermont 100 Mile Endurance Run in multiple places and we were able to observe the ultramarathoners in action.  The total distance was 60.7 miles.

On Sunday, we had an afternoon obligation in Cornish, NH and did not get on the bikes until late in the day.  We went for a quick spin from the Harpoon Brewery in Windsor down to the village of Ascutney in Weathersfield with a side trip by Mount Ascutney State Park on the return.

After this weekend, we have cycled a total of 50 towns with 201 to go.  Onward…
