Stratton, Wardsboro, Jamaica, Winhall, Peru, Landgrove, Londonderry, Windham, Townshend

This weekend we cycled from Jamaica to Peru without getting our feet wet.

On Saturday, we ran in the morning on the West River Trail in Jamaica.  We went for short spin in the afternoon.  We started in Stratton and climbed up the Stratton-Arlington Rd up to the Appalachian Trail/Long Trail crossing.  On the way back down, we stopped to inspect the Daniel Webster monument and then cruised all the way back down to West Wardsboro before climbing back up to Stratton.

Today, we cycled from Jamaica State Park through Jamaica, Winhall, Peru, Landgrove, Londonderry, Windham, Townshend and back to Jamaica.  This ride involved a lot of climbing (5 rated climbs) for an early season ride.  We rode past three ski areas–Stratton Mountain, Bromley and Magic Mountain.  And enjoyed a somewhat terrifying death drop from Windham down to West Townshend.

My camera battery decided to die at Bromley Mountain in Peru.  I guess that means we will cycle through Landgrove, Londonderry, Windham, Townshend and Jamaica again some day.

80 towns down, 171 to go…
