Last week, we cycled the Grand Tour Desjardins with over a thousand other cyclists. The first 4 days were entirely within Québec, primarily in the Eastern Townships. On day 5, we crossed the border into Vermont and cycled through Richford, Berkshire, Franklin, Sheldon, Fairfield and Swanton to Saint Albans Town. With this ride, we crossed the halfway mark of our project with 126 towns down and 125 to go. On day 6, we cycled a “boucle” through Saint Albans Town, Georgia, Milton, South Hero, Colchester, Westford, Fairfax and Fairfield. This ride brought us up to 129 towns with 122 to go. On day 7, we cycled through Saint Albans Town, Georgia, Swanton and Alburgh to return to Québec. No new towns but lots of fun.
This was our 3rd consecutive year riding the Grand Tour. The tour is in a different region every year. We enjoyed having this one (almost) in our own backyard.
